American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 7 am–7 pm. Whent in see what this place was about, because I just moved into the area and the lady working behind my counter was really nice. And sweet, I ordered a donut, and as I was going to pay, she noticed my military ID and offered me a free one on the house. It was completely unexpected, but very much appreciated. I'd definitely be returning.

I have had this place twice, getting burritos each time. Great portions, great taste, and the owner cares about her customers. GO TO LA REYNA! On a street (Piedras) that has a lot of good eats, this place stands out

Tried this place twice, first time was about a few months ago when they had recently opened. I don't remember what my mom got but I had the pingüino looking round cake, it was so dry I couldn't even swallow it and I am not exaggerating. My mom also didn't like her piece. Never bothered leaving a review because I figured I would simply never go back. But today, a coworker brought us some sweet bread from there and I had an empanada and it was rock hard!! ROCK HARD lol!! The filling was also dried out and rubbery. The empanada was probably more than a few days old for it to be that hard and the filling rubbery 😬 Anyways, my coworkers who also had other empanadas and conchas were not impressed at all with their bread.

Walked in and the woman behind the counter was giving my son some really dirty looks for no reason. We walked right back out never to return
